THE YOGAMAN WORKSHOP

Location: The Clearing

Time: 11 am to 12

Join our transformative yoga and movement workshop designed to empower children through the practice of mindfulness and self-regulation. Inspired by personal experiences, Simeon aims to create a supportive environment where kids can find peace, make choices, and feel heard. Together, we will explore breathing techniques and movement to foster confidence and resilience in young minds, helping them navigate life's challenges with hope.


12 -1PM ON SOLID GROUND: TEENY TINY CREATIVES

Embark on an immersive adventure as we delve into the world of storybooks through art and movement.
Designed for children aged 0-5 and their caregivers, join us for a delightful journey of imaginative play and self-expression.

Teeny Tiny Creatives is organized by On Solid Ground, a local community arts organization dedicated to fostering well-being through a blend of creativity and movement.

Please only book tickets for children.
Due to space restrictions, only 1 adult of carer per child or family group.

MINI SPACE EXPLORERS with Katie Dale-Everett  

Venue: QUARTERHOUSE AUDITORIUM

Time: 11am - 12pm

Are you a mini explorer? Have you ever wanted to go to space? Join Emily and Ed on a space exploration adventure as they discover the universe. Together we'll build space junk, dance on the moon, and create new moves. 

 A fun workshop for 3 - 6 year olds to embrace their playful side. Using props and light, explore creative worlds as the dancers change the landscape using motion capture technology. 

 *Motion capture uses magnets and components that emit radio waves which could affect nearby electronics. If you have a pacemaker, or other implanted medical devices please speak to a doctor if you have any concerns about being in a room with magnets/radio waves.

Workshop for those aged 3 - 6 years old. Parents, carers and guardians are asked to stay within the building throughout the workshop.

BRIDGING THE COSMOS with Katie Dale-Everett

Venue: QUARTERHOUSE AUDITORIUM

Time: 12.45am - 2pm

Do you ever dream of wearing a motion capture suit? Are you interested in dance or gaming? This is your chance! Team up to explore different space-inspired landscapes and create your own universe. No prior dance or technical experience is needed.

In this workshop, expect to explore the world of the show (Playscape: How to Build a Galaxy) by: 

  • Having a go at motion capture. 

  • Learning repertoire from the show. 

  • Developing shadow work skills.

Playscape: How to Build a Galaxy

Do you ever dream of travelling to space? Charlie a human down on earth does too! Why not witness their journey as they meet Alex, a space person who teaches them about play, imagination and the importance of following your curiosity and dreams! Along the way you will visit the moon, stars and maybe even a galaxy! 

‘Playscape: How to Build a Galaxy’ is a 20 minute dance and motion capture performance for all the family by Katie Dale-Everett Dance.

Get ready for a day of free, fun-filled family outdoor music and dance activities that will get everyone moving!

Including MCDC, the dynamic Folkestone-based dance company, providing a creative hip hop dance session designed to energise and inspire. Bounce to the beat, learn playful social dances, and add your own unique flavour in a welcoming, inclusive space where everyone can shine—no experience needed!

It’s all about connection, creativity, and having fun together. Just bring your passion for dance and a reusable water bottle—we’ll take care of the rest!

SOUND BATH with Andre Braga Verissimo

In this session participants will experience a live sound bath featuring instruments like gongs, sound bowls, percussion, and occasionally a monochord or flute. These sessions are designed to be immersive and unique, with each performance varying due to the live, improvisational nature of the music.


MOVEMENT FOR MIND with Sidonie Carey Green

This Movement for Mind dance workshop is a wellbeing-focused session that uses dance and movement to support mental health. Designed for all abilities and ages, it combines gentle physical activity with mindfulness and creative expression.
