Ever wonder why the British seaside is making an almighty comeback? Jodie has, so she moved there to see what all the fuss was about! Join her in this dance theatre show about escaping to the sea, finding love on the shores of Margate and trying not to mess it all up, as Jodie asks, can the sea really heal us all? Jodie is an Essex born choreographer, who makes work about her feelings, all of them. Or at least the ones she can “feel”.
Her work has been described as “joyous”, “she made me want to see more”, “turns you into a dance polymath in a twinkling”.

The Chair was first developed during lockdown in 2020 as part of series of workshops with Lise Boucon and Ash McNaughton. When the opportunity to present a work as part of The Place Resolution 24 festival of new choreography, I decided to show The Chair.
The first performance of The Chair was performed at the Resolution 24 Festival at The Place 2 February 2024
